Captiva Civic Association ABC Charity Auction Gala
According to its website, “the Captiva Civic Association`s mission is the preservation of the quality of life, ambiance, and environmental integrity of this unique barrier island community.” This February event is a big fundraiser for the organization whose work has a great positive impact on the community.

Sanibel-Captiva Arts & Crafts Festival
For decades, the Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Club has hosted the Sanibel Captiva Arts & Crafts Festival. The large event showcases more than 80 artists for two days in February and features a silent auction, a food court, and lots of fun.

Sanibel Captiva Lions Club Arts & Crafts Fair
In March, the Sanibel Captiva Lions Club hosts its Arts & Crafts Fair. The event includes more than 100 artists and craftspeople from across the US.

This anticipated March event always features a live band and loads of fun. BIG ARTS provides entertainment, arts, and education programs for the community.

Kiwanis Club President`s Cup Golf Tournament
The Kiwanis Club on Sanibel and Captiva hosts several events throughout the year, but this Spring one is unique to the Islands. Two-person teams play nine hold scramble and nine-hole best ball. The tournament raises money to support children`s organizations throughout Lee County.

Sanibel-Captiva`s Fourth of July Parade
Sanibel-Captiva`s Fourth of July Parade is all the family fun you`d expect from a small-town parade with candy for the kids and hand-made floats.

Sanibel Captiva Road Rally
For more than 40 years, teams and families have puzzled out clues while following a prescribed driving course around Sanibel Island. To keep the festivities going after Sanibel-Captiva`s Fourth of July Parade, the Sanibel-Captiva Optimist Club hosts the Sanibel Captive Road Rally right after the parade to raise money for the islands` youth.

F.I.S.H. Annual 10k Race
Each year in October, F.I.S.H. hosts a 10k to raise money for their many efforts. The non-profit focuses on food programs, island-based education, senior services, and financial assistance to people in need.

CROW`s Annual Taste of the Islands
Not only does this tasty November event show off the best food around Sanibel and Captiva, it provides support to CROW`s effort to rehabilitate wildlife.

SCCF Annual Tennis Tournament
According to Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation`s website, the proceeds from the tournament “benefit the mission-driven work of SCCF, which is dedicated to protecting and caring for Southwest Florida`s coastal ecosystems.” Categories for the event are 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 men`s, women`s, and mixed doubles. It takes place each December.

Luminary Stroll
Hosted on both Sanibel and Captiva Islands on separate days in December by the Chamber of Commerce, Luminary Stroll features festive Christmas lights, live music, pictures with Santa, and so much more.
